You need an iPhone, iPad, or Mac with a current OS — and either a reachable Home Assistant instance (on your local network or via HTTPS remotely) or a home set up in Apple Home. Both at once works too. Android is not planned for the beta — the focus is native SwiftUI on Apple hardware.
First you join the beta waitlist — we only store your email address and language preference. When seats open, closed beta rounds and TestFlight builds for iPhone, iPad, and Mac follow. You receive an email as soon as you're in. There are no fixed launch dates by design — release when stability and scope are right.
Your address goes only into the LumiGlass waitlist. We use it for waitlist updates, beta invitations, and your chosen language (DE / EN / JA). No newsletter spam, no resale, no third-party marketing. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Home Assistant in the browser — Lovelace, the default dashboard, or companion apps with an embedded WebView — is flexible but still a website: scroll lag, no true Liquid Glass, no native 120 Hz control, limited iOS integration. LumiGlass uses 100% SwiftUI and native controls — direct API connection, less latency, Apple HIG-aligned feel. LumiGlass provides an intuitive, native edit mode for the tile grid — focused on the essentials you use every day.
Not currently. LumiGlass relies on SwiftUI, Liquid Glass, and Apple system APIs — porting 1:1 to Android would dilute the idea. Focus stays on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and the Apple roadmap (Apple Watch, CarPlay, Siri). Send wishes to [email protected].
Yes — LumiGlass will be optimized in time for the iPhone Duo's market launch on October 23, 2026. Thanks to the native SwiftUI architecture, which already provides adaptive layouts for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, the dashboard will make good use of the large 7.6-inch inner display and Apple's Split View multitasking.
Yes. Home screen, Lock Screen, and Control Center widgets are available and trigger scenes directly without opening the app. Widgets for individual devices are planned for a later update.
Yes. LumiGlass supports Home Assistant and Apple HomeKit side by side — you can run both systems in parallel in the same dashboard, or switch from one to the other step by step. Which devices you see simply depends on what you connect in Settings.

It's simple: on first launch, LumiGlass asks on the welcome screen whether you'd like to add Apple Home (HomeKit) — confirm it, and the app automatically imports all rooms and devices from your HomeKit home. You can also connect it later at any time via Settings, or add new rooms and devices straight to HomeKit from there.

Apple Home (HomeKit), in turn, feels native but doesn't cover every smart home device. We wanted to bring both together, in an interface that feels like part of iOS.
That's why visualfusion is building LumiGlass as a native client for iPhone, iPad, and Mac: SwiftUI instead of WebView, Home Assistant and Apple Home side by side, multilingual from the start. Core domains and integrated Apple services (music, weather, calendar, alarms) first, then sensor, multiroom audio, lock, and the Apple ecosystem. Not a replacement for your entire smart home setup — a focused layer that feels like part of iOS.
